Bellerin: We knew going direct would hurt Spurs

Hector Bellerin Arsenal

Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin claims that Gunners “had loads of chances” against Tottenham, even though they only mustered two shots on target.

The Spaniard believes they deserved more than a point from their clash __with Spurs, addressed at length in our 16 Conclusions.

“I’m a bit disappointed __with the result because I think the team deserved a bit more than just a draw,” Bellerin told Arsenal Player.

“We had loads of chances all through the game, especially at the end of the second half. We couldn’t be efficient enough to get another goal back and we need to learn from it.

“I think the team had a good performance defensively and then we knew how to play them in behind, we knew being very direct was going to hurt them but I think we’ve just got to take the positives and look at the next game.”

At least when Donald Trump blows the world up next week, we will be above Spurs forever.
