Mauro Icardi will not be leaving Inter Milan despite being a target of Arsenal, according to his agent.

Reports emerged in the summer that the Gunners could make a bid for Icardi, but the striker remained at Inter and was installed as captain.

He has endured a difficult season so far however, after being branded a ‘piece of sh*t‘ by his own fans over claims in his autobiography.

According to The Sun, this renewed Arsenal’s interest in the 23-year-old, and they were linked __with a move in January.

However, his agent and wife, Wanda, rubbished the speculation when asked whether he could leave the San Siro, by replying: “Absolutely not.”

She continued: “He has just renewed his contract for five years, which includes a termination clause of €110m for foreign teams.

“There have been offers from other clubs, but Inter conducted themselves in an incredible way __with Mauro. He has always worked hard to stay at the club.”
