Ryan Giggs admits that managing Manchester United for a brief time in 2014 was “difficult”.
Giggs took over from David Moyes after the Scot’s failed tenure as manager ended after just 11 months in April 2014.
The Welshman had acted as Moyes’ assistant manager, and took over for the final four games of the 2013/14 season.
Giggs, who explained why he turned down the Swansea job over the weekend – something which angered Robbie Savage ever so – admits that he found the brief spell “difficult”.
“It was difficult for me because I was still a player then, so I was having to drop teammates… or not pick teammates.
“Gareth’s had the experience __with the U21s, so he’s already been a manager of a country.
“He’s not going from club to country; I think he’s had a good transition – I think he’s ready.”
