Ex-Liverpool youngster has no regrets over Milan switch

Suso

Former Liverpool prospect Suso insists he has no regrets over leaving Anfield for AC Milan.

Suso arrived at Liverpool from Cadiz as a highly-rated 16-year-old, but failed to break into the first team on a consistent basis and spent time on loan at Almeria.

After making 21 appearances for the Reds, the Spain youth international joined AC Milan in January 2015, and after a loan spell at Genoa, is now settled at the San Siro.

“I had six to seven months left on my deal __with Liverpool so I had to sign a new contract but the offer was not what I wanted,” he told Milan TV.

“And while I was waiting, the possibility to come to Milan arrived.

“I believe that when a club this important wants you then you can’t have doubts, it was the right choice.

“I’m fine here, I think that I’m not missing anything, maybe I’d like to have my family closer but they come to visit me and I’m fine __with my girlfriend. Honestly, I don’t miss anything.”

Suso has started all seven of Milan’s Serie A fixtures this term, scoring once.
