Liverpool are ready to offer Philippe Coutinho a new contract to fend off interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Coutinho is one of the hottest properties in the Premier League at the moment and his rising stature has alerted several of Europe’s big guns.
French outlet Le10 Sport claimed on Saturday that Paris Saint-Germain will launch a money-no-object bid for the player in January. The story has reportedly forced a reaction from Liverpool, who will offer the Brazilian a new contract.
Coutinho only penned a fresh agreement 18 months ago, but Liverpool are happy to improve his terms, after the recently-recalled Brazil star also caught the eye of Luis Enrique at Barcelona.
Coutinho’s current contract __with the Merseyside outfit runs until 2020, but he is in line for a big raise in the New Year, along __with Adam Lallana.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp recently signed a new six-year contract to tie him to Anfield until 2022 and the German wants his keys players tied to similar deals.
England man Lallana has two years left to run on his contract at the end of the season and he could also be offered new terms, while Dejan Lovren is another player who could be handed an improved contract.
