Conte discusses Chelsea exit speculation

Antonio Conte adamits he was bemused by reports he was set to leave his post as Chelsea manager.

Some bookmakers suspended bets on Conte becoming the next Premier League manager to lose his job on Thursday night, amid a number of strange reports.

However, the Italian spoke to the press on Friday afternoon after the speculation was quickly dismissed.

“I’m trying to find who put the money on, but it is very difficult,” Conte said.

“It’s very difficult to talk about this situation because I am focused about my work to improve the team.

“I have a good communication and relationship __with the club. I take these __with a smile.

“We are working very hard to change the situation. We are trying to build something important for the present and the future.”

Chelsea host Premier League champions Leicester on Saturday and Conte has be boosted by the return from injury of John Terry.

Willian, however, will miss the fixture after returning to Brazil following the death of his mother.

“We knew the problem with his mum. Me, the player and the club are very close in this moment. We are with him and his family,” Conte added.
