Liverpool central defender Dejan Lovren believes that the club can still improve on their current performance level.
Jurgen Klopp’s team sit second in the Premier League, and are unbeaten in all competitions since losing at Burnley on August 20.
That has raised discussion of whether Liverpool can seriously challenge for the Premier League title. Lovren believes that there is more to come, despite Liverpool’s lofty position.
“For the confidence of everyone, for the goalkeeper, the defence, the clean sheet is great,” Lovren told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I think Klavan and Lucas had a great game on Tuesday, both of them, especially __with Alberto and Trent behind. These four are not playing together day by day so I think they had a good game.
“Of course, it’s important to have a clean sheet but when you’re in the Premier League it’s really tough. I always prefer the three points.
“I think we’re on 85 per cent. We’re in good shape, everyone is doing well, but I think we can be better.
“As the season goes on further, hopefully until the end we can be still in the top four and maybe even in first place.
“We just need to work hard and keep our heads down and not to think about big things – go game by game, that’s the best thing for us.”
3⃣ Successive clean sheets
👍🏻 Plenty of positives
