Gossip: Reds eye £44m Williams, Bellerin on Barca

Inaki Williams Football365

LIVERPOOL WANT WILLIAMS
A ‘blockbuster move’ is how The Sun report it, and the claim is that Liverpool want Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams. Considering he is rated at £44million, it’s perhaps a fair description.

The report comes from Spain, __with Mundo Deportivo saying that Jurgen Klopp and his side are ‘desperate not to miss out’ on the 22-year-old forward.

Williams has a release clause of £44.6million in his current contract, so will not come cheap. He made his international debut for Spain in May, and he has scored 16 goals in 67 games for the Bilbao first team. In a nutshell, he’s pretty good.

BELLERIN UPDATE
Good news for Arsenal fans: Hector Bellerin isn’t leaving.

If you don’t believe us, take it from the man himself. He was asked by German outlet DW-TV whether he would consider moving to Barcelona. His response?

“If Barcelona contact me right now? I won’t pick up the phone.”

So there you go. What he would do if they fax him we do not know.

FAB CHASE (PROBABLY NOT)
Why stop __with the transfer updates on right-backs there? We know that that’s all you came here for.

According to the Daily Star, Manchester City want Fabinho. You might have heard of him; Manchester United were reportedly interested in signing him this summer. The Monaco defender is rated at around £15m.

It will likely be dubbed as a devastating blow by some – it probably already has been – but United probably won’t be that bothered. Plus, the 22-year-old explained how he “felt good” in France just this past week, and that he is “an important player in one of the best teams in the league”. So yeah.
